Everything about subsidies for sustainable projects
DUMAVA
The Sustainable Public Real Estate Subsidy Scheme (DUMAVA) supports owners of existing public real estate in making their buildings more sustainable. The subsidy must be applied for before sustainability measures are implemented or contracts are signed.
Depending on the type of project, funding is available for one, two, or three separate measures, or for an integrated sustainability project. For an integrated project, the approach is based on a tailor-made energy report that outlines potential savings, investment costs, and expected effects.
The implementation period is a maximum of 24 months after the subsidy has been granted, or 36 months in the case of an integrated project. A tailor-made report from a certified energy advisor is mandatory. As of 2025, properties owned by amateur sports clubs will also be eligible for this scheme.
Who is DUMAVA for?
DUMAVA is intended for owners of public real estate built before January 1, 2012. This includes schools, healthcare institutions, cultural centers, government buildings, and monuments. Organizations involved in the sustainability of these types of buildings can also make use of the scheme.
