All about subsidies for sustainable projects

ISDE

The Investment Subsidy for Sustainable Energy and Energy Savings (ISDE) is a subsidy for business users who invest in sustainable systems such as (hybrid) heat pumps or solar water heaters. The subsidy applies to new systems that are professionally installed.

The amount of the subsidy depends on the type and brand of the system. The installation must be completed within 24 months after the subsidy is granted. Applications must always be submitted before entering into a contract with a supplier.

The current model code lists from the RVO provide an indication of the subsidy amount per model:

  • Heat pumps

  • Solar water heaters

In addition, the ISDE can be combined with the EIA scheme. In cooperation with the RVO, we have demonstrated that this combination is possible for heat pumps using propane, ammonia, or CO₂. This often results in significantly higher subsidies for wholesalers and installers. For heat pumps using HFO or HFC, this combination is not applicable.

Who is the ISDE for?
The ISDE scheme is intended for business users, such as companies, institutions, and foundations, who:

  • Want to make a building or production process more sustainable.

  • Invest in a (hybrid) heat pump or solar water heater.

  • Have the system installed by a certified installation company.

  • Purchase the system new (not second-hand or used).

Sparkling Projects offers support with:

  • Assessing whether the installation meets the subsidy requirements.

  • Submitting the ISDE application before awarding the contract.

  • Combining the ISDE with the EIA scheme (if applicable).

  • Submitting the final settlement request after installation.

  • Responding to questions from the subsidy provider.

  • Handling objection procedures in case of rejection.
